About us
A committed actor for organic, sustainable, and ethical vanilla in Madagascar
With over 20 years of experience, Biovanilla embodies the excellence of organic and sustainable Malagasy vanilla. Each vanilla pod is carefully produced by our 4,200 growers from the SAVA and DIANA regions in northern Madagascar. As a result, our vanilla production combines exceptional quality, authentic flavor, and respect for the environment.
Our story
A long-standing vanilla expertise for you
For over 20 years, Biovanilla has mastered the nuances of the vanilla market in Madagascar. Putting our 4,200 member producers in the SAVA and DIANA regions back at the heart of the value chain has required a committed and collaborative model, responding to their social, economic and agronomic challenges while building strategic alliances to improve their living conditions and protect their rights.
Through initiatives such as income diversification, education, and social protection, Biovanilla has successfully mitigated the impact of price volatility. These efforts have significantly improved production quality, meeting market expectations with higher vanillin levels while adhering to food safety standards and climate action commitments—as reflected in our certifications and reforestation programs.
Today, at Biovanilla, excellence goes beyond product quality. It also includes the well-being of our 300 employees and the farmers who work daily in the industry. This culture of high standards, combined with our expertise, ensures a supply of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla tailored to your needs, while keeping people and sustainability at the heart of our approach.
